What is the ASRS-V1.1?
The ASRSV1.1 is a self report questionnaire designed to assess symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults. It consists of 18 questions related to symptoms of inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity. Although there are 18 questions only the first 6 are counted for the screening tool. The remaining questions can provide your assessor with more information to discuss over during the assessment.
Please answer the questions below. As you answer each question, choose the answer that best describes how you have felt and conducted yourself over the past 6 months. Questions 1 – 6 are mandatory.
How are ASRS-v1.1 scores interpreted?
· A score of 4-6 suggests a presence of ADHD
· A score below 4 suggests an absence of ADHD
· The first 6 questions of the questionnaire can identify almost 70% of people with ADHD.
· It is important to note that the ASRS-v1.1 is only a screening instrument to help with the assessment process and an accurate diagnosis of ADHD can only be made by a qualified specialist.
