Common questions about private ADHD assessment
How much does a private ADHD assessment cost in the UK?
An adult ADHD assessment with ADHD Active is £375 and a child assessment is £575. Fees are quoted upfront, and treatment and follow-up packages are priced separately on our pricing page.
How long do I have to wait for an ADHD assessment?
Private appointments are often available within days, subject to clinical availability. Assessments are held online at a time that suits you.
Who carries out the assessment?
Assessments are clinician-led and aligned to DSM-5 criteria, overseen by a GPhC-registered independent prescriber working to NICE guidance.
Can I get ADHD treatment and shared care with my GP?
Where clinical treatment is appropriate, your clinician can discuss titration and review. Once clinical treatment is stable, ADHD Active can request shared care, but your GP decides whether to accept it.
Do you assess children as well as adults?
We assess children from age 6, young people and adults, with input from parents and schools where that helps build a full picture.
